A Day in a Life: The Carmel of St. Joseph

February 22nd, 2010 by William

Salt + Light Television is airing a special on the Carmelite Monastery of St. Joseph in St. Agatha, Ontario.  The following is taken from their website:  “Nestled on the outskirts of the tiny community of St. Agatha, Ontario lies the Carmel of St. Joseph, the home of a cloistered, contemplative community of Carmelite Nuns. They observe their vows of poverty, chastity and obedience in joy, and direct their lives toward prayer and the contemplation of the things of God.   In this half-hour special, Salt + Light Television takes you behind the cloister in order to spend the day with the Carmelite Sisters.”   This program will be airing on Tuesday, February 23rd, from 8:00pm – to 8:30pm ET, and again on Wednesday, February 24th, from 1:00pm – 1:30pm ET.  To learn more about this program and view the trailer, go to http://saltandlighttv.org/carmel_stjoseph.html
