Today’s Carmelite Blessed:

Blessed Bartholomew Fanti was a Carmelite priest at Mantua, Italy for 35 years. Spiritual director and rector of the Confraternity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, for which he composed a rule and statutes. Spiritual teacher of Blessed John Baptist Spagnuolo. Noted preacher and healer with a strong devotion to the Eucharist.  Blessed Fanti was born at Mantua, Italy and he died of natural causes in 1495.  He was beatified in 1909.
